Why we made it

Every closed abaya I could find online either shipped from the Gulf and took three weeks, or didn't have pockets so I was juggling keys and a stroller at the same time.

So my sister and I made the abaya we couldn't buy. Closed silhouette. Two deep pockets. North American shipping. For Tuesday morning.

A closed pull-over abaya with two deep pockets. No open-front. No flapping in the parking lot. Designed by two niqabi sisters who couldn't find a closed silhouette that also held keys, phone, and a small mercy of a snack for the school run.

Premium chiffon with a soft, considered drape. Sized for the North American body — with petite, regular, and tall lengths so you're not sweating a hem on the floor or short in the sleeve. The sleeves taper enough to wash up for wudu without fighting fabric.

This is the abaya for Tuesday morning. For pickup. For the masjid. For the days you have a lot to carry and want both hands free.
